Description
While running anti wrap leaf spring mounts under the axle, U bolt plates and U bolts get damaged and hung on obstacles off road. To solve this issue a skid plate can be welded to the U bolt plate protecting the U bolt components and providing a smooth surface. This design integrates a main skid body and internal brace that will need to be welded to both the U bolt plate and skid plate. The U bolt plate will be a tight fit and minor hand fitting is expected to get the plate to seat within the skid system.
***Our U-bolts bolts have a torque spec of 150 foot pounds and should never be tightened with an impact gun.
Compatible with our U bolt plates for 2 1/2 wide Leaf Springs, that range from 2 3/4-3 5/8 axle tube.
